Wear Purple for JIA
NRAS is delighted to announce that our #Wear Purple for JIA is back again in 2018 and will be on Friday 8th June 2018
We would like to see as many of you as possible signing up to join us wearing purple everywhere, at school or at work, encourage family and friends to join in and wear something purple - socks, hats and everything else in between! This is your opportunity to be silly whilst raising funds for JIA at NRAS.
The campaign was launched by Lynette and a friend in 2015; Farah, Lynette's daughter is the inspiration behind the campaign, she was diagnosed with JIA at the young age of 2. Our campaign has grown every year and in 2017 it raised a staggering £22,000 - well done to everyone who helped us to reach this amazing total!
The day can be as simple as asking your school to support the day and let the children and staff come to school or nursery in purple mufti, this can also be replicated in the workplace to help raise awareness of JIA in young children.
The JIA service which was launched in 2014 is working hard to deliver new and exciting support packages for families with children with JIA and to help inform others about the effects this can have on children of all ages.
